The Tallahassee Film Festival is accepting submissions for our 2026 Film Festival, October 8-11, 2026! Feature films, short films, documentary films, animated, avant-garde or television work – it’s all eligible! Selected filmmakers will be notified in August.

Tallahassee Film Festival proudly accepts entries via FilmFreeway, the world’s #1 way to enter film festivals. Find deadlines and fees below. Selected filmmakers will be notified by approximately August 1, 2026. Please read all the Rules and Terms before you enter.
Awards & Prizes
Florida Filmmaker Award presented by Flamingo Magazine (aka “The Flamingo Prize”) – $1,000
TFF Directors’ Choice Award – $500
Audience Favorite Awards:
– Best Feature Film
– Best Short Film
– Best Documentary Feature
– Best Documentary Short
– Best Dramatic Short
– Best Art/Experimental Short
– Best Comedic Short
– (Other Best genre awards TBA)
Award categories are subject to change. The Audience Favorite awards have no cash value. The TFF Directors’ Choice Award comes with a $500 cash prize. The Florida Filmmaker Award comes with a $1,000 cash prize. Films eligible for the Florida Filmmaker Award must be directed by a current Florida resident or consist of a majority above-the-line crew who are current Florida residents. Please include this information in your cover letter. Actual awards and/or cash prizes may be distributed within 60 days after the last day of the Festival.
