Inconvenient comfort is about 60 years old Annabelle who really got attached to her mobility scooter. She’s not aware that she’s bound to this vehicle because of her empty yet very comforting life. Throughout a series of events she’ll realize that she has to make a change in order to prevent her life from falling apart.

Director Biography

adamfillenzI finished my studies at the Hungarian University of Theatre and Film Arts in 2005 as cinematographer. I shot several award winning feature films like Fresh Air (Friss levego), Adrienn Pal, Poligamy, Milky Way (Tejut). But I also work as camera operator in American and British productions besides shooting commercials and music videos from time to time.

Director Statement

The Dutch-Hungarian short, Inconvenient comfort gives a critical view on our modern days’ wealthy societies with a unique eastern European taste. This is my directorial as well as my writer debut as a filmmaker. The heroic story of Annabelle is based on my experience of living in the Netherlands for more than two years.
