Andre

A film by Spencer Levy

Andre follows a young man who unexpectedly inherits a small fortune. It’s an event which sends him drifting through a series of surreal, aimless encounters with eccentric strangers. What begins as a windfall becomes a dreamlike journey through the overlooked corners of his world, revealing the strange, tender, and unpredictable rhythms that shape a life untethered.

Spencer Levy, a Cuban‑American filmmaker from Florida, centers marginalized people, places, and histories in his work. His films blend intimate storytelling with a strong visual sensibility, bringing forgotten narratives into focus and challenging audiences to reconsider what they’ve overlooked. With Andre, Levy turns his lens toward Tallahassee, crafting a love letter to the city’s quiet beauty and to the people and places that often exist in its margins. The film pulses with the heartbeat of Tallahassee; its hidden stories, its uncelebrated corners, and the humanity that resides within them.
