Features include “Courtroom 3H,” an observational documentary that trains its camera on Tallahassee’s Unified Family Court, made by Florida State University film professor Antonio Mendez-Esparza; “Larry Flynt for President,” a found footage documentary, directed by Nadia Szold, that revisits the fabled Hustler magazine publisher’s wild 1984 campaign for the White House; “Anne at 13,000 Feet,” a raw and intense character study of a young Canadian woman whose life is in flux; “Love, LIfe and Goldfish,” a romantic J-Pop musical rich in color and emotion; and “The Conference of the Birds,” an experimental drama set in Pahokee from South Florida filmmaker and TFF alum Kevin Contento. Additonal feature selections will be announced soon.

And expect to see even more Florida-made selections as filmmakers compete for a $1,000 Florida Filmmaker Award co-sponsored by Flamingo magazine. Awards to be announced Sunday, Sept. 19, at Railroad Square Craft House. Early bird VIP passes are on sale for $50, and include admission to a Sunday morning filmmaker brunch at Charlie Park’s rooftop lounge at the AC Hotel in Cascades Park. All-access passes are $35.
Vaccinations and masks for indoor screenings are very strongly encouraged for attendees. Select films in the program will also be available to stream online at the TFF Virtual Cinema for a fee during the festival window. Details to be announced soon.
