Director Biography

say no dirHaving trained at Drama Centre London and having worked extensively as an actor, Samuel decided to pursue a career as a director/producer and writer. Samuel is one half of the successful directing duo, The Clemens Bros. Samuel’s films include Gone Fishing, The Lighter (Starring the late Sir Roger Moore), Dress Rehearsal, the multi award winning Surgery (Best Short Film & Spotlight Platinum Winner – Atlanta Horror Film Festival, Best Short Film Director & Best Traditional Short – Fear Fete Horror Film Festival, starring Nicholas Ball) and the final idea by his late father Brian Clemens OBE. In 2017, Samuel wrote, produced, directed and successfully crowdfunded Say No, a co-production with The Rose Theatre Kingston exploring the dangers of gun crime. Samuel is working on feature film script written with his father, The Still and is in early pre-production. Most recently, Samuel made his professional stage directorial debut with a UK tour of Strictly Murder by Brian Clemens, finishing in September 2017 at The Rose Theatre, Kingston. Samuel is currently developing the play into a screenplay to begin filming next year. Samuel also works as an acting teacher and director. He has worked for Actor In Session, Giles Foreman Centre For Acting, The Rose Youth Theatre & Guildhall. Lastly, Samuel has provided extra’s for his father’s Television series The Avengers for Optimum Releasing.
