This past Saturday, Feb. 5, 2011, was the first free Saturday for a great group of people – your Tallahassee Film Festival PROGRAMMING COMMITTEE. Under the leadership of Chris Faupel, our group of programmers, representing a nice cross-section of our community, watched over two hundred films over the last two and a half months of weekends. We picked the cream of the crop for you, our TFF audience. We laughed, we cried, we winched, covered our eyes, and shouted out “stab me” (in lieu of the less theatrical PLEASE STOP IT).
We can’t wait to share with all of you the treasures we have uncovered. Now it’s time to do your part as the AUDIENCE. Buy those passes, tell your friends and family about the fun, quirky and educational films our own home grown TFF will be bringing you April 6-10, 2011. Most of these films you will never be able to see anywhere else.

I highly doubt it, but here’s hoping “stuffed animals” refers to Jodie Foster’s new film, The Beaver.
