Our TFF alum’s latest movie, Lola Versus, Opens!
Wednesday, June 13th, 2012
We are excited to announce the opening of the Fox Searchlight Pictures romantic comedy, Lola Versus, directed by Daryl Wein and Zoe Lister-Jones. The film is now playing in select theaters located throughout New York and Los Angeles. The Tallahassee Film Festival (TFF) was the East Coast premier in 2009 of Daryl Wein and Zoe Lister-Jones’ debut film, Breaking Upwards, making Lola Versus another important film to our community.
This gut-busting new film follows Lola, a 29 year-old woman played by Greta Gerwig , as she struggles to cope with being dumped by her fiancé, Luke (Joel Kinnaman) three weeks before their wedding. Lola is thrown back out into the dating world by her two best friends, Henry (Hamish Linklater) and Alice (Zoe Lister-Jones). Now a newly single woman, Lola struggles with the unfamiliar territory of the “first date,” making this film a priceless must see! Lola Versus opens soon in other major cities around the world, but until then, check out the official movie trailer below and learn more about Lola’s break up at www.lolaversus.com.
